60 Minute TMJ Massage Therapy – $125, plus HST

TMJ disorder is a family of conditions that involve the jaw joints, the surrounding muscles, and connective tissue of the jaw. TMJ stands for temporomandibular joint and is the name given to the joints that connect your jaw to your skull.

A typical massage therapy treatment for TMJ focusses on the muscles of the jaw, head, and neck. Tension in these areas can contribute to the overall dysfunction of the joints. Sometimes intra-oral work is indicated. Using a gloved hand, your RMT will gently massage the muscles and tendons of the TMJ through the inside of your mouth.

We understand that clear communication leads to the most effective rehabilitation. Your RMT will work within your pain tolerance and communicate with you throughout your entire treatment.

TMJ disorder is a complex condition that is best managed over time with a team-based approach. Speak to your dental team or primary care physician for a full diagnosis.
